So why do I want to send a Grumbletext?
Grumbletext is founded on 5 simple ideas:
1) poor customer service, errors in service and
product delivery, flaky marketing promises etc, are very irritating
things we have to live with every day of the week
2) we don't often bother complaining about them
because it takes too much time and energy, and because we think in most
cases it is a waste of time since you'll only speak to a call-centre
agent or receive a letter in three months time not addressing your
problem
3) companies tend to sit up and listen when they get
lots and lots of complaints, particularly when they get negative
exposure in the media on the back of it
4) texting is a great way to generate lots of
complaints because most of us have got a mobile phone, we tend to have
it at moments we want to complain and it's quick and easy
5) publish all those texts onto a website, organised
by company, make as much noise as you can about it to the media, and see
if you can't get a few changes made - look, for example, at what the
Sunday Times managed to do to the Woolwich...
