Have you considered approaching the 'small claims court'?
If the English court system applies in the Channel Islands then you have a good chance of getting your money back
Access the SCC via the internet. go to 'the Lord Chancellor's' website and follow the links. But beware don't try pulling a fast one!!
i am informed that it is the seller's responsibility too effect a safe delivery of the goods.So if they are lost then it is 'down to them' They must have insured the packagesurely. As far as repairs under guarantee are concerned again it is the seller's resposobility although manufacturers shortcircuit thissystem perhaps to preserve their good name and as a service to the seller(retailer): so if the manufacturer will not take responsibility then the retailer must act.

I have used 7 Day Shop for several years. Never a problem, easy to use "shop" and remarkably quick delivery of goods as ordered.
Things might well have changed for the worse..
Order placed last week was a pain. Clunky order procedure. Much used Credit Card (including 7 Day Shop) was, initially, refused. Tedious procedure to correct that. Then a long delay with different answers from HISTORY section on Your Account and ORDER section.
Finally after a nearly a week one third of order (2/3 quoted In Stock arrives).
Wake up 7 Day Shop as I can no longer recommend your service.

Customers BEWARE!!!!!!
I purchased a Canon Powershot S70 camera in March of this year When it stopped working while I was on holiday last week(6 MONTHS OLD) I CONTACTED the 7dayshop.com website to be told to contact the ManufActurer first !!!
Then when I contacted the 7dayshop by e-mail I was then told to return the camera to them after three further confusing e-mails from them I was then told by them that as their Cameras ARE IMPORTED tHAT CANON DID NOT COVER THE WARRANTY!!!!! so I had to send the camera back to them and well you can guess the rest............................... by return of post I was told the camera had been dropped and I was then advisedf to send the camera back to Canon for REPAIR
DO NOT USE THIS SHOP BEWARE YOU HAVE no WARRANTY !!!!!!! yES THEIR ITEMS A CHEAPER BUT IN THE END THAT IS WORTH NOTHING....THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ADVICE IS USELESS By the way I never dropped my camera and kept in a Canon Camera case and a padded Samsonite bag which I had also purchased from these people DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY GO ELSEWHERE *****

I totally agree with all comments made, they have the worst customer service I have ever come across, there is in fact no post sale service. I purchased a camera only to find it did not come with a uk charger which will cost another �30 . They refuse to supply one even though their product is misdescribed/misrepresneted. I have complained to trading standards today and suggest that the more complaints they receive re this company the better.

My advice to anybody thinking of using 7 Day Shop DON'T !!!!
The have had my �440 for a lens now for weeks and weeks No lens and no refund!! they will not reply to emails or faxes or letters!! this place is a ripp off!
I managed to get there telephone number 01481 257336 but all you get is a guy saying that we have an outstanding customer service department, that will deal with your order ASAP, what a joke the guy is taking the p***
Maybe take a risk for batteries, but a camera forget it you will be ripped off!!!

My experience hasn't been as bad but is still annoying and shows how totally crap their customer service is. In October 04 I order 10 DVD-R's. As I was placing and order I also ordered a couple of cases for rechargable batteries @ 95p each. These arrived and I was charged for them and also �3.95 P&P. However, the DVD-Rs are still out of stock. I can order 2*5 packs of the same item from them, but they say I will have to cancel old order and re-order and pay another lot of P&P. So I am left with two very expensive plastic cases.
Decent customer service would dictate that they send me 2*5 packs, it isn't even going to cost anymore. But if this is their level of customer service they can shove it for all I care !!

I ordered a Canon A75 camera and loads of accessories on November 24th 2004 as a Christmas gift. All accessories came almost immediately but I also then received an e-mail stating that the camera was out of stock. This despite 'Plent of Stock' being quoted when I placed my order. I now write this late Christmas Eve and unless Santa is on his way with this camera I would have to guess that it is not going to arrive.
I have e-mailed them at least 8 times, probably 10 and each time they have promised that this camera will be here. They actually stopped the money on the 10th December.
They are a complete bunch of wankers. I asked them to advise me on their complaints procedure and also to pass on contact details for the MD. I was advised that they did not have a complaints procedure and no contact details were provided for anyone, never mind their MD. I guess that if they did have a complaints procedure this would take up 99% of all man hours they have available.
I have had to now purchase this camera from a high street store at full price (�40 more than on 7 day shops site). I could have purchased it for so much less from any number of reputable internet retailers had I not used this dodgy outfit at the outset.
I have used the internet as my main source of purchasing for all sorts of items for over 5 years now and apart from the occasional minor glitch with e-bay I have never had any problems; until now. I have learned a valuable lesson, cheapest is not always best!
DO NOT BE SUCKERED IN BY THEIR OFFER PRICE. SPEND A BIT MORE WITH A SITE THAT YOU KNOW AND TRUST!
NEVER EVER TRUST 7 DAY SHOP; THEY ARE TRULY AWFUL.

I have just had an equally bad experience with this outfit. I bought a �200 camera from them in April of this year. The battery failed in September. I e-mailed them and they said they would replace it. I sent the faulty battery to them. Some 2 weeks later a battery for a completely differtent camera arrived. I sent this back and re-stated the model of me camera again. They sent me the same (wrong) battery again saying that I should take it out of the battery cover first and had stuck ridiculous post it notes to the battery saying which was the battery and which was the cover!! I sent this back again stating my camera make again and that the battery they keep sending was far too big, I even managed to get the part number for them from the web to be sure. Since then I have had nothing but silence from them. I have now bought a new battery from a reputable dealer. Total cost to date 3x recorded delivery to guernsey at � 5.97 and a new battery at$18.95, Total �36.86. Yest they are cheaper to buy from in the first place but in the long run they certainly cost a lot more. Never again.............

I bought a camera from 7dayshop.com.BIG BIG BIG mistake.They were great when all I bought was cheap stuff but my �600 camera ordered 9/8/04 has never turned up and today, after daily emails many of which they totally ignored, they have decided to wash their hands of it and told me to speak to my credit card company. No camera no refund not even an explanation of what their alledged enquiries had found.
Never ever ever buy anything from this company if you can't afford to lose the purchace price.
Their customer service is non existant if you have a real problem. If it's only a little problem they're great

I chose to buy a digital camera from 7-day shop.com, as the prices were much cheaper than anywhere else I had seen.
The camera took 14 days to arrive, which is quite a while to wait, but was within the estimated delivery time of 7-14 days. When the camera arrived it was the wrong model. Unfortunately for me the cheaper (by �40) model rather than a more expensive one!
I emailed their help line and was told that I would have to arrange a return delivery of the camera to them. I had expected them to arrange this, I don�t live near a post office and do not drive so it�s not an easy thing for me to do, but I wasn�t bothered enough to make an issue of it.
I emailed them to ask them if they would pay for the packaging as well as the postage. They said that they would refund the postage but not the packaging. I contacted them to say that I wasn�t very happy that I was now without a camera and was out of pocket due to what was their error. I told them that if they didn�t refund me all expenses I had incurred and arrange a speedy delivery of the correct camera I would cancel the order.
They opted for cancelling the order. They refunded the cost of the camera but didn�t refund me the postage. I emailed them asking for a refund of the postage but they have not responded. I cannot find a phone number to contact them on so I am stuck. I am now without a camera and it�s cost me �6.20!
I imagine people would generally find that 7-day shop is a cheap and easy way of ordering goods but just be aware that if things go wrong you may end up feeling incredibly dissatisfied!
