Do I understand this correctly? The owner of the 0704 has essentially 3 redirects in place, and you pay for calling wherever they are? Even if one of the numbers is a mobile in Bolivia or satellite phone? And you don't even know it? I mean, if I get a redirect on my mobile, you pay to call my mobile and I pay for redirect connection, I think. Surely there is something about this 0704 system that verges on the fraudulent and could be addressed somehow?

0704 numbers are 'personal numbers' which will try up to 3 numbers to try and find someone - the rate should be about the same as calling a mobile, though I have no idea what happens if someone then sets it to redirect you to a premium number. T-Mobile are the wrong people to be complaining to - I think you need ICSTIS who are the premium-rate regulator....

0704 Numbers Beware!!!!

| A few weeks ago I was given a mobile telephone number from a girl while I was out one night. It started 0704 which to be honest did not ring any alarm bells. A few days later I called the number and we had a chat, we even arranged to meet up for a drink later that week. A couple of weeks later I received my phone bill. My average bill is about �15 per month. This one was �170, imagine my shock, unfortunately I don�t get an itemised bill. I logged on to T-Mobiles on line billing and analysed my bill, �149 of premium rate international calls had been dialled. So I contacted T-Mobile who did a check just to make sure that my phone had made the calls, they were able to pin point the cell site that the calls originated from, 400 yards from my house. They said nothing could be done and I would just have to pay up. I have written several letters to the customer service department and get a standard reply.
