I have sent them messages to stop sending them to me but they send more than 1 of the same joke and when I try to send them the message it says "Invalid Service Center Number". What should I do

I was furious with this stupid Joke of the Day crap that I didn't subcribe to and I have tried every thing to cancel it!!! I Replied to the message to stop sending me texts, that didn't work, I looked up their info on the web, left a message to contact me, never got a call.. Called my cell phone provider and they said there wasn't anything they could but I got the $30.00 taken off my bill... I am so glad that I found this site because I tried the 850-50 and text the words No Jokes and I few seconds later got a text message that said the following exactly "You?ve been unsubscribed from joke. If you would like to subcribe again please text JOKE to 85050. Info? 800.303.1162...end...." So Maybe the phone # will also help... I hope It works, but I will know tomorrow..

| The text messages are coming from sprint, you have to go to the home page on your cell phone and go to entertainment, and then, go to where it says get text alerts then select sign up/manage then its going to take you to the text alert home page and you need to go down to entertainment and then, you want to unsubscribe to anyone that there is a check mark next to.

| This happened to my son too. I called our cell phone company and was given this number to discontune joke of the day (1 866 784 7712) they also told me if I get another joke to send it back and text saying unsubsribe. Hope it works!

I recieve JOKE OF THE DAY from 2424 I believe I am being charged, but all I see on my bill is additional charges. I called the numbers from this site, and got no satisfaction at all. I have been texting this 2424 for days now saying stop and stop joke, and I have no response. My phone company can't help me in any way. I am sooo pissed.Can anyone help me with this. The code is 2424 PLEASE HELP!!!!!

| Here's one for you...on my son's phone on which the SCREEN IS DAMAGED and you CAN'T SEE ANYTHING...joke of the day says he signed up for the texts to his phone...Funny, huh? He wouldn't even know what section of the phone he was in because the screen is blank but Joke of the Day says he typed in all the info and subscribed to this service??? I don't think so-he must be a genius or something to know he was typing the right stuff in the right place in the right part of the phone without being able to see it... How they allow you to just sign up for things without any type of authorization is beyond me!!! Because I am over 18 and its my account, that gives authorization to send stuff to our phones??? This is rediculous. These companies are crazy and people who fall for them are too... We have seen ;the commercials and they are so silly.... God help us if this is what our country is coming too... I called my wireless company and they are disputing the charges.

Warning to all future people, plz save you're confirmation message to your sign-up, or else you're gunna end up like everyone else on here, who we've all lost way too much money. Folks, my 14 year old saw Joke Of the Day advertized on TV and subscribed by sending them an SMS message. Then after the charges start running up her bill she brought it to our attention. By then she had deleted the initial confirmation message.
I did not know where to go until I did a google on "joke of the day" which got me to this website. So I tried the STOP JOKE and it worked.
Here are the details including thier website.
You are now unsubscribed from the joke service. Hope you had a good laugh! Do you want to receive jokes again, txt JOKE to 15050.

I suggest everyone who reads this send them an email or two ([email protected]) or call them at 888-740-9123 expressing your true thoughts about this scam. I would do this AFTER you unsubscribed of course.
There should be a law that forces them to put the opt out instructions at the end of every joke they send.
