I have had the same thing happen to me.... ive posted the information they want, but worried now thats its all a sham! i hope this matter is resolved as soon as possible, as im not pleased that they got hold of my number! and personal details! could anyone let me know if they actually received the prize of �2000

When this number is called you are prompted to input your mobile number, the message then claims that you have not entered a valid UK mobile number stating that it should be 11 digits long and begin 07. When I managed to call the call center I was advised that they were just a call handleing center and were not the promoter who they claim are called "New Sports Offers"
I tried to lodge a complaint but was advised that there were no managers or supervisors available, and that I should call back tomorrow (Monday 5th January 2004) this I fully intend to do so that I can lodge my complaint. The lady I spoke to was named Hayley and would not give any further details of the company she worked for, the number I contacted her on was 08714711228.

Yeah well i got a similar sort of thing, O2 again i think...

Promotion Number: 8714711223 - Yeah well i got a similar sort of thing, O2 again i think we need better security O2! 08714711223 I called and did indeed get a customer service rep, so you call 09061745184150 per minute for 6 minutes ummmmm, a �9 call kinda expensive for my special claim number. Did anybody actually call the number and get the info and post the stuff off! Personally i've got a feeling these guys are preying on the naive and desperate! a very american thing! There was a film about something like this a few months ago with Ben Affleck and Vin diesel selling fake shares and linking the phone lines to different locations, always on the move stealing money.
I bet some in real life have been coned out of some serious cash not just �9! The fact so many people seem to have won �1000-�2000 over the Xmas period seems strange to me, especially when i never made my number available to this company!
I don't believe there working side by side with O2 so i kinda feel the address they provide will lead to a Mac dee's or a old warehouse in the middle of London. Does anybody had a successful return from these guys?
