I'VE BEEN HAD BY THESE GITS!!!
Since last June I've been paying between 12-20 pounds to T-mobile for 'other services'. I assumed these services were to do with calls I've made to other networks - but it was actually all the texts I'd been receiving from Flexibreaks!!! I didn't even ask for them!
I've taken the advice of on of your posts and put out a claim against them via Moneyclaim.com. I've also stopped the messages by replying STOP and barring it via T-Mobile.
Please could all affected get in touch with WATCHDOG - I already have but if they receive more calls then they're more likely to investigate this.
I just feel bad for all those who are receiving these texts and just niaively accepting the charge as I was before - all those technophobs who daren't question their bills!

I found out who 80082 are!!!!!
They go by the name of Flexibreaks or ReachData or knock knock or MM Downloads.
If your message read as Dear Voucher Holder. To claim this weeks offer, please go to......
Call Flexibreaks on 01923 839552 and ask to speak to the Customer Care Manager.
Ask them to stop them and ask for refund. Hopefully my cheque for �7.50 is being sent out today!
Hope this is of help to everyone. Oh and by the way if you say that you're very very very unhappy they'll deal with it almost immediately!!!!

Hi, during an audit on my wifes company phone bills it came to light that since August '05 my phone hsd attracted at least 2 texts per week at a cost of �1.28 per text. Orange know of this scam and are not prepared to do anything about it...suprise, suprise!! but we did. It appears that despite what Orange said, that the service had been requested by text ,when in fact it had been by email, we have been told by the company concerned that the law regarding this 'service' as been changed. What did we do? Go to www.moneyclaim.gov.uk and take out a county court summons on-line and within a few days the company concerned were offering to refund all the money for the texts and the considerable admin it had cost my wife to pay staff and accountant to sift the mobile phone bills and bearing in mind she as about 15 mobiles for staff including mine this was no 5 minute job. Send the summons to; ReachData Unit 1, 5,Beaumont Gate Shenley Hill Radlett Hertfordshire WD7 7AR.....don't just complain on this forum, you now have the solution.........Good luck and all the best

I've never even heard of this company before and yet they've been sending me messages over a year. I have got a pay as you go account and realised only today that they have been charging some �1.50 per message - I must've received some 1 or 2 messages a week.
It was a nuisance to keep deleting the messages, but never thought anyone could charge your account without permission? Vodafone cave me a contact number for an automated service but that's only thing they could do. Does anyone know how to get in contact with them? Or has got their money back?
What a great business idea though - someone's got a part-time job as a customer service agent for a large company with huge databese of phone numbers and then just start charging them and no-one seems to be able to do anything.

yeah what a mess my husband and i booked to go to los angeles in july with flexibreak promotions paid just over 1,000 british pounds, when i phoned them i got the run around and all that crap them telling me someone will ring you backand of course no one did we were suposed to be going from the 4th to the 14th of nov this year this was a holiday that is very important to us personally, looks like we will have to book another even though we cant really afford it we are very pissed off and some what upset about the whole ordeal how can just anyone set up a bussines like that one i dont know .

I too can confirm the previous post.
I have been recieving msg's for about a year. normally a few a week all saying to visit a website.
However they decided to start charging me only the last 3 months at �12 / month.
Orange are unable to help, and the regulator's say they are only able to help if they continue after I've text'd STOP !!!
Well thats all good, but I want my money back. Has anyone managed to get their money back from e-tlp.co.uk ?

Sir: In light of my telephone conversation with Mrs. Kamet I am writing this letter. I hope you may pay attention to this letter. Before you want to consider any face value to this letter and or to a customer complain, I want you to reach out and listen each and every passengers experience with the above flight. Personally I also heard from other passengers to Indian on the air India who flue one week ago before I did from Newark. [I am happy to give you data of my complaints]
The above flight was supposed to take off 7.30 PM on 5.29.05 from Chicago. The flight called in for a delay of five (5) hours. The panicky crowd was served with $7.00 coupon for food and waiting like dogs with no other choice in Chicago airport. I have to run up and down in the middle of the night for water and snacks spending money from my pocket for me and my family. Now body was given any reason to why the flight was delay and did not even consider the needs of children and the family for any accommodation and making their trip a pleasant experience. The delayed flight was supposed to be a reality at 1. 30 AM, but it did not happen that way; the flight was further delayed and there was no further explanation. The flight took off 3.00 Am 5.30Am. The KING OF THE AIR CRAFT THE AIR INDIA lied to its customers the real story of the length of the delay to avoid accommodation and the other necessary care of its customers. The consequences of the overly delay was unimaginable in different levels to each and every customers and personally for me. This includes health and financial loss, emotional and panic turbulence it created on the expecting family Crew on both side of the country besides other massive in convenience and other loss. At Bombay I experienced a different type of problems situation. We were dumped at Bombay by air India [I am happy to give you data of my complaints] We were waiting for our luggage anxious to clearance and catching up with next available flight. 2.45 hours we all waited at the belt, it was dragging with one or two boxes/luggage bags at the same time. With all disappointment and frustration I enquired about the situation to an air port authorities who came across. He refused to identify his name and he walked off pointing out to the couple of boxes laying down there, �Look at these bags tells me how much it weigh�its heavy and it takes time to handle�� I personally watched the entry level of the belt that carries the luggage through. I saw two slim looking men resting and taking their time to take one boxed after another one. They seemed not to care that their customers needed their luggage as soon as possible in order to get to their connecting flight which most of them missed due to the irresponsibility of Air India. It took 4 hours to collect our luggage boxes. The questions and inquiries of the customs at the luggage clearance is disgusting. Their approaches when they saw the expensive camera and lap top computers were even not worth mentioning to a civilized people. They (Customs/ Immigrations) asked unnecessary questions which furthered the delay. Barbarians would have done a better job. Consequently as the story goes we lost three flights. (We were not the only ones, there were other unfortunates in this flight sick with their children and other concerns.) Consequently I missed one very important ceremonial appointment that I am scheduled to attend. Two times my pick up coach arrived at Nedumbssery air port, went back, I paid them 500.00 each time for loosing their time waiting and the trip they made. My family also made several phone calls to my relatives in the United states to find out my whereabouts. This resulted lot of emotional anguish and worry. After a long line of waiting and verbal confrontation we were able to get the Blueget flight confirmed for 12.30 pm on 5.31.05. At this point a major concern was the condition of the luggage that came through the belt line. All three of my luggage was broken, bended and torn open at Bombay. The Air India official who came to help us at the last minutes (A courteous, and a considerate woman) said, � if we take care of this now you may miss your next flight so the exit terminal air India office at Nedumbassery could be very helpful to you there.� This woman who worked for Air India was also disappointed that Air India authorities did not follow protocol which is to help the passengers who were delayed to reach their next connecting flight. I trusted the authority and took care of the priority which is to care for my exhausted and frustrated family who has been traveling for 22 hours and so I took the next flight. My first priority was my family not my luggage at this time.
As per direction at the exit air port at Nedumbassery I dragged all my luggage to the authority at the Baggage services, Mr. Kurien C. the manager. Unfortunately, he did not even listen to the customer to hear what they went through in one of the major and well known air craft. He argued with me with technicalities and procedures. He was rude and cruel. He disappointed me and insulted me saying. �This is old luggage�.� And so forth I am enclosing digital photograph of all the luggage�s in question. My response to him was, �I may not be rich and famous to buy quality luggage to meet your standards.� the fact is those luggages are expensive ones. Mr. Kuren C refused to take the complaint and gave me a copy of the report saying that I could have dealt with it at the Mumbai air port. He wanted to blame it on the jet airways. He did not want to take the complaint of the customer and trust the witness as well as the customer. Instead he called two of his customer agents; Bijeesn K.B. and Anil Godcery. Obviously they took side with their boss. However they did one good thing which was to give me their names after much effort. Air India gave me and my family extreme pressure and stress during this vacation time. My health can not tolerate this kind of pressure very well. Now I have to deal with that part of my life. Overall I feel like I need another vacation�.THANKS TO AIR INDIA, THE KING IN BUSINESS. I hope Air India will take care of my 4 pieces broken and shattered luggage and other expenses. I hope they compensate me better.
If air India refused take care of my loss and deal this case courteously I will seek legal help, some good attorney will find out what is fairness. Hopefully expecting your cooperation
5/18/05 Journey back to United States
My return trip back to United state is also worth mentioning. First of all I was able to check in for a through flight to Tampa from Nedumbassery. However at the immigration they found out that my passport was not stamped while I arrived at Bombay on 5/31/05. The officer conveniently forgot to stamp �Entry� in my passport, (See commends at the second line from the bottom of the second paragraph) hence the customs at the cochin airport rerouted my journey to Mumbai only to have my problem solved at Mumbai before they allow me fly to the State. It is unfortunate to say again CREDIT TO AIR INDIA the flight was delayed for about 3 hours. At Mumbai the reality was not a joke. My flight is already missed. I was driven nuts by the Mumbai airport authorities because every one who directed me there pretended new everything( and or did not bother listening), knew nothing. As a result I have to drive my self with my 5 pieces of luggage up and down from first floor to the fourth floor. I got almost got into a panic situation dehydration and loosing myself. Finally I got into the right department and they went thorough the computer and finally fixed the problem stamping my passport.
air on the following day I reached at Kennedy Air port. Air India told me that they confirmed my ticket. however when I went to Delta Ticket counter on the other part of building I knew Air India lied, I have to come back again to the terminal on the first floor and finally Air India confirmed my ticket to Tampa. Because of this delay I lost two days of work loosing at least $ 900.00 both days
Estimated loss due to this disastrous trip.
1. Broker 4 pieces of luggage. 750.00
2. Out of pocket expenses for food water and snacks at
A. Chicago 2. Mumbai (trip to India)
B. Cochin, 2. Mumbai, and Kennedy (back to United states) $65.00 +
3. Loss of two days work $900.00
4. additional cost to transportation in India $ 25.00
Total: 750.00 + 65.00+ 900.00+25.00
I hope Air India be fair in this situation I have not put a value to emotional loss and frustrations this time. If it is required I will consult with an Attorney on this matter. Thank you for your cooperation.

I've received various texts, the most recent of which reads 'Dear Voucher Holder, to claim this week's offer go to etl-p.co.uk' which represents the flexibreaks company.
I'm incensed!! This is insane, is it not, that these companies get hold of your number by some shady means or other and then SPAM you with adverts. But the crazy part is that then YOU pay �1.50 for the privilege of being SPAMMED!! What the hell is going on?
I've just contacted the three companies from where the texts are originating, all of which are representing other clients I think. They are found at e-tlp.co.uk, tkls.com and reach-data.com. I've spoken to people there and sent emails to unsubscribe. I don't trust the text meassage STOP thing cause they probably charge you another 1.50 for that or ignore it or whathaveyou. I'm not letting up till I can have confirmation from all of them they've removed me from their database. And I will be pressing for refunds.

"Please accept this as confirmation that you have been removed from ALL our lists. This message has not cost you."

I had the same problem, but got a full refund after about 2 weeks. You need to speak to Jeffery Zemmel orValerie Winfield as these are the managing directors. I dealt with Jeffery every time and he kept his word about refunding me. Don't give and don't take no for an answer. Good luck!!!!!

Flexibreaks is a rip off...
At the begining of April, I enquired about a weekend holiday to Amsterdam for myself and friends using a voucher from Flexibreaks. The dates to travel would be the 27/05/5 till 31/05/05 for 7 people, and was told it would come to a total of �1396.00.
On the 01/04/05, this amount was debited from my account, and I was assured that both the flights and hotel were secured with this payment. (ie.Return flights from Luton airport and 4 nights accomodation at the Trianon hotel)
A few weeks later, I tried cancelling some of the tickets and was told that I would not be refunded if I did this, so I left it and decided to just go ahead with the holiday.
2 weeks ago I get a call from Brenda from the company, telling me that the booking was not secure after all as the hotel had cancelled these reservations, and they could only get a booking at 1 other hotel where we could have 1 x 3 sleeper room converted into a five sleeper and 1 double room for the 7 of us.
I was very unhappy with this, as were my friends and told her to cancel everything. She resisted at first and refused to take responsiblity for this big mess. I am now waiting for my refund which I was told would take 7-10 working days which have since passed. Everytime I call I get told there is no one available and a manager will be in touch. I am waiting for the manager (A Mr Solomon apparently), to call me since last week.
I have seen some other complaints about this company and am not prepared to wait as long as they did( some of them 6 months) for a refund.

Similar problem. Booked New Years Eve in Paris for a party of 10 in August 04 using vouchers won in the Daily Draw. Incidently I notice these vouchers are no longer offered as prizes.
Two weeks before we were due to leave I was informed that the trip hadn't been booked. Phoning produced no results so am pursuing the matter through the courts. Jeffrey Zemmel was no more help than the ever changing staff of females that answer the general phone.
I would like to know if they have successfully booked trips for anyone. When my trip was cancelled the person I phoned admitted that 6 other cancellation were being dealt with that day.

I have been receiving these for a while now and phoned them twice to stop sending them. Seems they changed to a new message about some ringtone I will receive and never asked for.
O2 has given me the same rubbish and I have now removed my simcard and am using another simcard.
They must be making a fortune out of us !!
I am thinking of chucking our family's four O2 sims in the trashcan and switch to another provider.

I totally agree. I would encourage (nay, beg) everyone to avoid Flexibreaks Promotions of Luton like the plague. My boyfriend and I booked through them (Valentines Day fortnight to New York) and, having had our money since August last year, only two days before we were due to fly did they tell us that they couldn't book the holiday... today (April 25th) I have JUST got my refund (my partner hasn't yet) after over two months of ringing/emailing/threatening them with court action continuously. They, as a company, are enough to send us all to early graves with worry.
We never had a sufficient explaination why our holiday didn't happen, but two working days before we were due to leave and I was still ringing up to chase it, I was told by the "booking department" that she would get back to me within a week! Not the sharpest... I only found out that we weren't booked (despite being told that we were countless times) because I rang the hotel in NYC directly to check my reservation. Good job I did. AVOID FLEXIBREAKS PROMOTIONS, LUTON, AT ALL COSTS. Do not give them a cent or a penny... it's taken us eight months to get our almost �600 refund, and my partner still hasn't got his yet. Very grateful for this forum for letter me vent my frustrations!

I am having the same problems with O2 and so is everyone else seemingly. I am taking legal action and so if it hasn't been in the papers it soon will be and i will be contacting watchdog as well!! Know anyone else it has happened to? (Read my big long complaint about the messages on top of page!)

I understand as an anxious mother how angry you must be and I have to say that i am having the same problems with O2 who don't want to take responsibility and also i haven't actually received anything on my phone even though i am being cahrged for messages. I am furious and trying to find as many people as i can that are having problems with O2 as i will be taking legal aciton against them. The more i talk the more i am hearing i am not the only one its happening to with O2.
KNow its not much of a consolation but just wanted to let you know that you're not alone.

I am repeatedly receiving messages that begin with dear voucher holder.....i don't know what the rest says becasuse i never get that far i delete it! I have NEVER requested anything no wallpapers no ringtones, yet for two monyhs on the trot i have been charged rediculous amounts of money to receive these unsolicited messages. Whats more they only ever appear on a weekend on my bill, which is why i was dubious of them as on my O2 contract i have free weekend minutes.
On calling O2 to complain about this they refused to accept responsibility for the messages and said that they assume that i have requested something-assumption is dangerous and something a customer service rep should never say and be accusing a customer of. What i have to say is that if i had requested something to be sent to my phone, then they would have the text message confirmation of what i had asked for !
However they do not have anything and i refuse to send a message to say STOP when i haven't even asked for anything also the regulating company refused to do anything and said i had to contact O2 first, whcih strikes me as strange for a regulating comapny as i always thought that it was their job to 'regulate' on a customers behalf.
I haven't got anything extra on my phone that would be proof or receiving something i have asked for.
I am furious that O2 are refusing to accept responsibility and on my suggesting that they should have a system in place that prevents companies from getting my number to send me junk i haven't asked for. They just did not want to know. I was not offered any compensation and to be quite honest the people i have spoken to have been abrupt, rude and extremely unhelpful. When i asked if anyone else had been having similar problems I was told that it rarely happens. I asked if it had been happening to any other O2 customers to their knowledge , then the adviser changed his mind and said it never happens. I challenged him changing his mind and he changed it back to rarely then when i queried him changing his mind again he changed it again to never! He then said i was to stop picking at him, hardly the response of a responsible customer service rep. He should have been clear and accurate with what he was saying instead of changing his mind!
I would like to know if anyone else is having similar problems with O2 and ask that they let me know as i am taking legal action against them. The more people i know it has happened to where they are being charged monthly but have not asked for the messages, the more evidence i have against them to take to court.
Please help me out all you guys out there that are suffreing with O2.

Suggest you first get unsubscribed, then ask the question how you came to be subscribed in the first place. A poster from this company with the nomenclature CCRD posted this on 12th Feb. You could private message them asking for direct contact to examine how you came to be subscribed. From Vodafone

The only problem is I've been receiving the SMS long before that. I then went to the e-tlp website and rang that number stated in the T&C to call in case you want to unsubscribe. Guess what, it was not the right number
What the ???? I was then given another number.
08712881969 - A company called Simply DATA Rang them and the office hours is just from 10 - 4 and get this, if you ring during office hours and no one is answering it means that all the "operators" are busy. Yeah right! No wants to do the job where they get screamed at all the time.
The only time I downloaded anything from the mobile is when I had those free ringtones from MacDonalds to promote the Incredibles or something. I think we should complaint to MacDonalds too.....

Funny how you dont realise what an enormous fraud is being allowed to go on in this country until it happens to you. I will be trying fonemedia on Monday as they dont appear to be answering their phone today. My 15 year old son has just been charged �3 each for three totally unsolicited and pointless txts from ringtone king and judging by the posts i have read on this & other sites next time I top his phone up he'll probably get more even though I rang O2 and the company's cancellation line. These companies must be raking in millions from little kids who are unable to do anything about it. These fraudsters are hiding behind the phone companies who appear to be unwilling or unable to do anything about it either.

What ever you do - do not book with Flexibreaks Promotions - I got a similar message on my email at the end of last year and I responded to. I then paid �326 for a weekend in Paris (only the eurostar is free - you have to pay for hotels) for Valentines Day and have just been told they are cancelling our trip and I will not get a refund for at least 2 weeks

Won't give me a name for the company and the man was very rude, BUT I am getting a �20 postal order sent to me, which is a bit more than they probably owe me! If you're going to ring, it's best to look back and see how long you've been receiving them for and how often. Also, if you ring and the answermachine is there: leave a message with a contact number (I didn't trust them with my mobile, so left a landline number) - I found being nice worked so try that first before bringing in the legal threats, etc!

Promotion Number: 80022 - Hey. I've just rang up fonemedia myself after reading your messages. It seems they are in charge of a large range of numbers - not just the ones specified here. So, if you're getting any texts I would contact them and they will check to see if you are getting any from their clients.
I, unfortunately, was not offered a refund from them directly, but was instead given the number of the company actually sending the texts, which is 08712881969 - and appears to be responsible for texts from 80082, 80062 and 80022 - so probably all texts in the same format (eg the "as a registered subscriber..." ones). However, not surprisingly, when I rang them earlier the number appeared not to be working and when I tried just, I got a message telling me that they were closed. I left a message on their machine (I am first trying the nice approach, I know I appreciated it more when I worked as a sales assistant), and will ring them again if I hear nothing tomorrow. I will let you know how I get on.

I ordered one ringtone from a company called "ringtone King" it costed me �1 and thats what they chrged me. They then sent my number to third party companies and i was recieving spam messages which costed me �3 a time, i put up with this for a while but then decided to get a new sim card because my service provider "o2" said they couldnt help to stop this outrage.

It tells me I have won a free 3g mobile phone. I have had 3 messages now, all of which I don't want, and am being charged �1.50 each time. I'm getting really, really, very ANNOYED. The people who send these messages should be locked up and throw the key away - how fraudulent!
I want to know HOW TO STOP THEM and HOW TO GET MY MONEY BACK and most of all, HOW TO SUE THESE PEOPLE?

My credit is going as soon as I top-up! I only use my phone for emergencies and it was a real shock last time when I found out that I'd only had 3 pence of calling credit laft even though I'd purchased �5 only a couple of weeks ago! These scammers are literally stealing and should be locked up and/or fined heavily.
